Ramayana: Part 1

Thursday, 5 November 2026

Worldwide theatrical premiere across India, North America, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Australia, and 100+ countries, perfectly timed for the Diwali festival of lights.

Ramayana: Part 2

Diwali 2027

The epic conclusion, chronicling the War for Lanka and the coronation of Lord Rama, scheduled for global theatrical rollout twelve months following Part 1.

World Premiere in Los Angeles

A prestigious world premiere is scheduled at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on 27 October 2026, preceding the general commercial rollout. The premiere will host international press, studio executives, and global cultural ambassadors.

Why the Two-Part Release Strategy?

With an epic encompassing thousands of verses, compressing the narrative into a single three-hour film would necessitate severing crucial character arcs and philosophical debates. By filming both installments concurrently across a 350-day schedule, the creative team has ensured narrative continuity while delivering two full-length cinematic experiences with visual effects completed to Academy Award-caliber specifications by DNEG.

Formats and Language Editions

The film will be presented in cutting-edge exhibition technologies:

  • IMAX 3D: Specially formatted for IMAX DMR with enhanced aspect ratios.
  • Dolby Cinema & 3D: Utilizing Dolby Vision HDR projection and Dolby Atmos multidimensional soundscapes.
  • Languages: Native Hindi original audio, alongside synchronized regional releases in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, plus an international English edition.
